Today’s regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors was held in the Board Chambers. Seating was limited to separate chairs by at least 6 feet. And video conferencing was set up along with conference phones to facilitate public participation in absentia. We did handle some regular business today, but for this Board Report I will forgo mentioning these things (click here to view today’s full agenda) and focus on the COVID-19 Emergency.

Regarding COVID-19, our day started with a report from our Public Health Official Dr. Karen Relucio where she shared the latest news such as a drive-thru testing site coming in the next few days (by doctor order) and a new directive coming shortly to ban all gatherings of over 50 people (see presentation). Click here to read a press release that summarizes much of what Dr. Relucio presented. I know you all have a lot of questions about what Napa County is doing and what is to come. The situation and our response is evolving rapidly. Please stay tuned to our website at countyofnapa.org/2739 for all the latest news and developments coming out of Napa County. Any new announcements and directives will be posted here, with major announcements also being sent out via Nixle. Also, if you’d like, feel free to give me a call or send me an email.

Thank you for remaining calm and diligent and protecting yourself and your families during this crisis. This is a scary time for all of us. I take comfort in knowing that we are all in this together, and that Napa knows our way around disasters and always manages to come together and get through it together. Stay safe and well!
